  2. It’s called ultimate ignorance, and it’s a standard term in knowledge economics.  It’s the difference between R&D (in which you decide to learn something you didn’t know) and discovery (in which you hit upon something it never occurred to you to explore.)

    Having attended a few Landmark events, I can assure you they’re quite good at pointing out things to some people that they don’t know about themselves.  Whether those things are true or important is another matter altogether.
