It appears that Skype, in its default setup, listens on port 80 and port 443 (HTTP and HTTPS) when loaded (alternative ports for incoming calls). This is bad when running a web server for testing or trying to use the web preview from Domino Desinger. So mental note to self – no Skype while working!! ๐

Hi Mikkel,
I had similar problems, but there is a simple solution: within the options dialog box, tab connection (or however it is called – I’ve got a german client ๐ ) you can deselect the checkbox “Use Ports 80 and 433 as alternative for incoming connections” (again that’s a translation from my german client – but you should find it nevertheless…).
Works for me like a charm.
By the way thanks for your postings, great tips and insights!
Cheers
