Parle vous Domino?

I find it refreshing when someone chooses to blog in their native language when it isn’t English. I recently became aware of Julien Bottemanne who is blogging in French. Another example of “native blogging” is Thomas Adrian who is blogging in Swedish.

So please help me welcome Julien Bottemanne to the Domino blogosphere (I think Thomas is well known already). It seems like Julien is doing a fair amount of blogging on Notes/Domino and has been doing so for amount a year. You can find Juliens blog at www.domlike.net.

Welcome…

  1. I agree. While I don’t always understand the non-English posts, I am glad to see the vibrancy and diversity in the Notes population, and it also gives me a chance to try out my French or German or Spanish or whatever since there are Notes/Domino concepts thrown in. (I’m afraid the Swedish is beyond me, even with Notes/Domino concepts)

I was at a German conference a few years back, and they had a question and answer session with the speakers. It was cool how some of us English speakers, not knowing very much German, but knowing the Notes/Domino words so well, would jump in to answer a German question that was clearly about something we knew.

Anyway, welcome to Julien and all the other non-English bloggers.

  2. Thanks Ben & Lekkim !

I remember an Ed Brill post telling that domino would be dead if its community wasn’t so active.

    I think it’s really true.

I have really small statistics (150 uniques IP/day) but it doesn’t matter, I belong to the Domino BlogSphere 🙂

    Julien
