Untitled!?

Am I the only one who have received a Lotus developerWorks newsletter with "Untitled" as the subject (see screenshot below)? The e-mail was very close to getting marked as SPAM... Not good!

Re: Untitled!?

No, you're definitely not the only one. I've been wondering myself ...

Re: Untitled!?

I've gotten one of those as well. My first thought was that someone had forgotten to fill out all fields of some kind of newsletter template.

Re: Untitled!?

Mine did make it into my gmail spam folder, and had I not checked my spam folder out before whacking it all, I wouldn't have caught the newsletter at all.

Re: Untitled!?

I got one this morning too. I was about to question my spam filter because there is no way a business should have let this slip through the cracks.

Re: Untitled!?

I got that one too. I also received a couple of spam message with attachments to my PartnerWorld email address. Owning my own domain, I use different email addresses for different organizations and it looks some low life harvested addresses from the PartnerWorld directory...

Re: Untitled!?

Tara Hall from the developerWorks Lotus team blog has an explanation.

Re: Untitled!?

Part of the reason I posted about the "Untitled" newsletter was that I thought it was kind of funny that I would receive a newsletter about Lotus Notes without a subject. A newsletter about a product that recently implemented a safeguard in the mail template to warn users of sending e-mails without a subject... :-)

That's all... No harm intended.

Re: Untitled!?

No harm done, Mikkel. Even Tara Hall jokes about it :-)
